About Us
My husband John has always enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, and just about any other outdoor activity that could keep him connected with nature and the outdoors. He adores all of Michigan's four seasons, and I would say just about everything they have to offer. He truly has such a great love for nature, and when he's within it, has the ability of finding beauty in anything and everything he sees. I was always around the waters of Michigan's lakes since I was a small child, so have always had a great love for the sun, water, and the outdoors. I also did my fair share of camping and fishing in past years, but I'm pretty much a fair weather fan, so therefore summer throughout my entire life, has always been my favorite season.
When our factory jobs disappeared (due to job outsourcing around a year or so ago), and we suddenly found ourselves asking “what are we going to do with the rest of our lives”? "Well" considering our back grounds, it’s no wonder really that we decided on a canoe livery business. Wouldn't it be great we thought "If we could actually make a living doing something that was fun!,” and when we realized that by going into the canoe livery business, not only would we be doing something that was fun for us, but that we would also actually be helping others to have fun to,"Well" "What was not to like?"... and so begins our great adventure on the "Mighty Muskegon River" We hope that you will come and join us this summer in this great adventure of ours...
